Main Research Interests
As a member of AGBU's Sheep Genetics Australia research team, my work aims
to develop high quality genetic tools and information for the Australian
sheep industry. This research involves improving the genetic evaluation
system OVIS,
and development of SheepOBJECT, software to develop customised breeding
objectives.
I have worked closely with the sheep industry to deliver genetic information, serving as a technical advisor to the Australian Merino Sire Evaluation
Association since its formation in 2000. A major achievement of this collaboration
has been the development of the Merino Superior Sires web site.
