The PIGBLUP system requires a fixed format. Information about this format is listed in a pdf file "PBLUP_format.pdf". Please contact the PIGBLUP team at pigblup@une.edu.au if you have any questions.
Please note, the newly developed program FileMerger, which is part of PIGBLUP V5.20, allows users to convert data into the specific PIGBLUP data format. Therefore, herd recording systems that do not provide the specific PIGBLUP interface may now be used by breeders.
MIPS is fully compatible with PIGBLUP and merges BLUP EBVs into its reports. It is used by commercial, stud and outdoor piggeries across Australia and New Zealand. MIPS is Year 2000 compliant and incorporates a range of Quality Assurance features. MIPS has been designed to work for Windows 95, 98 and NT.
