Kirsty has approximately 20 years of experience in beef and sheep genetic evaluations. During this time, she has worked on a wide range of topics. For the last five years, Kirsty has focused on reference populations that underpin genomic selection—considering both how the structure of the reference population impacts genomic selection benefits and analysing novel traits recorded in the reference.
Kirsty currently chairs the Southern multibreed technical committee, which assists in designing this large multibreed reference population.
